About Salt & Sham

Formed in 2013 by 10 friends, Salt & Sham Cycling Club has grown organically, thanks to the founding members ethos of Collective Cycling.

We welcome riders of all abilities and have over 300 active members and even a cycling club HQ based at Keynsham Rugby Club.

Our club members are involved in a wide range of cycling disciplines, including Road Racing, CX, TT, MTB, Audaxes and Sportives, as well as those who just like a social ride. We run our own events including a TT series, Hill Climb and the now legendary ‘Run What Ya Brung’. We reach out to the local community to offer support with events and safety initiatives with local schools.

At the heart of our club is the official Salt & Sham club ride, The Lap Of The Lakes, which takes place every Saturday at 7am, Ashton Way, Keynsham, and sees us follow a 45km loop around the beautiful Chew Valley countryside, ending up at Keynsham Rugby Club for breakfast. Everyone is welcome and nobody gets left behind, so come and join us.
